On 17 May 2026, Fuchun Primary School showcased students' environmental learning and sustainability initiatives at Woodgrove World Environment Day 2026.
On 17 May 2026, Fuchun Primary School participated in Woodgrove World Environment Day 2026, showcasing our "Fuchun Blossoms: Growing Joyful, Confident Learners" initiative.
Throughout the year, students have engaged in hands-on environmental learning through caring for plants in the school's eco-garden, growing microgreens, observing the butterfly life cycle, and exploring sustainable gardening practices. These authentic experiences enabled students to deepen their understanding of biodiversity and environmental sustainability.
At the event, our student ambassadors shared their learning with members of the community through interactive exhibits, hands-on activities, and demonstrations. Visitors learnt about the school's eco-garden initiatives, including microgreens cultivation, vegetable gardening, biodiversity conservation, and butterfly conservation. During the event, a butterfly emerged from its chrysalis, providing students and visitors with a memorable opportunity to witness this remarkable stage of the butterfly life cycle.
The event provided students with a meaningful platform to communicate their learning, promote environmental awareness, and inspire others to appreciate and care for the natural environment.
