PSG Chairperson's Message
Dear Parents and Guardians,
A warm welcome to all our Fuchun families!
It is a joy to continue serving as the Chairperson of the Parent Support Group (PSG). I am thankful for the trust and support from our parents, and for the opportunity to work alongside a caring team of parent volunteers who are committed to supporting our children and the school.
At Fuchun Primary School, we believe that children thrive when parents and the school work closely together. The PSG brings parents together to support school programmes and create meaningful learning experiences for our students. Be it supporting school events, assisting in lessons and activities, or helping behind the scenes, every contribution makes a difference.
When children see their parents involved in school life, they feel encouraged and confident. This strong partnership helps build a positive and welcoming school environment, where students develop a sense of belonging.
Over the past year, the PSG has been involved in many meaningful activities, including the Pongal Celebration, Total Defence Day activities, the SwimSafer Programme, Recess Play, Homeskills lessons for Primary 1 to 3, Learning Journeys for Primary 3 to 6 students, the International Students Programme, Racial Harmony Day, National Day celebrations, Teachers’ Day and Children’s Day, as well as various engagement, bonding, and appreciation sessions. These experiences are made possible through the strong partnership between parents, teachers, and the school.
This year, the PSG is also pleased to support a meaningful eco-initiative through the planting of a PSG Ji Tree (吉树) at the Eco Garden. The Ji Tree symbolizes positivity, growth, and continuity, reflecting our hope for a strong and nurturing school community. Beyond its symbolic meaning, the tree will serve as a learning resource for students, supporting lessons on plant life cycles and environmental awareness, and encouraging learning beyond the classroom.
As we move forward, the PSG remains committed to supporting the school and walking alongside our children as they grow, learn, and discover their strengths. We warmly welcome parents who are interested to join us, whether as volunteers or as part of the PSG team. Every effort, big or small, is truly appreciated.
If you would like to find out more about the PSG or get involved, please feel free to reach out to us or visit the school website. We look forward to working together to make this a meaningful and enriching year for our children.
Warmest regards,
Madam Fiona Ho
